Frustrated

For some unknown reason my email through Mediacom has stopped working.  Everything was working fine Sunday night when I went to bed, Monday morning it’s not.  I have tried everything I can think off including trying to unsuccessfully trying to get hold of the tech support people from our internet provider.   Do you suppose it is a bad sign that for the past 1 1/2 days I have been getting a busy signal when I call their support number?  They also have the option of sending them a message and they will get back to you within 24 hours.  I did that at 10:00 CST today, they have till 10:00 tomorrow morning.  I just hope they don’t try to answer me by email!

I am trying to get myself ready to go to Des Moines for several days to see the my daughter, her husband and of course my grandchildren.  I am also looking forward to the fair.  My daughter has a pool in her back yard so I am planning on plenty of pool time and sun time with the grandkids in the pool.

Not much new on the knitting front, I am looking at lots of patterns for fall but with the heat and humidity the thought of knitting that big cable sweater really doesn’t have much appeal.  I will carry on doing my small projects.

Here We Go

I previously had a blog at blogspot.com, I promised myself that I was going to attempt to write something almost every day.  However, I really didn’t ever do that.  I forgot that I had a wordpress blog and I decided to finally take and start using it.  My life is not terribly interesting I am the mother of six, have eight grandchildren (two boys and six girls), I stay at-home and take care of my DH of almost twenty years that still makes my heart stop single day and I am a knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching enthusiast.  Primarily I am a knitter.

My current projects on the needles are a lace square that I am trying to complete so that I can block it and figure out how many it will take to make a coverlet for our bed.  I am also crocheting a bath mat for our bathroom.  The pattern can be found in “One Skein” by Leigh Radford.  I also got some cross-stitch books from the library the other day and am working on reviving my love of that craft.

I am looking forward to sharing my life and my love of crafts.  I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I hope I will enjoy writing it.
